Indian Beach

 

The Woodlands Corporation developed Indian Beach.  The plat for Indian Beach was recorded in 1980.  The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Section 1 & 2 were recorded in October 1980, Restrictions for Section 3 were recorded in January 1985 and Section 4 in May 1985.

 

Sections 1 & 3 are located on the bay side of FM 3005.  The private pool for Indian Beach owners is located on Shaman, along with the private tennis court.  At the end of Mitote Road is the private fishing pier.  A gate key can access the pool and fishing pier.  The Association representative should be contacted for obtaining a key.  There are designated wetlands in Section 1 & 3 are referenced on the plat for each Section.  Owners should verify the wetland location with the City prior to any construction, as wetland location can change.

 

On the Bay side there is a Restricted Reserve behind lots 129 – 143 on Kiva Road, this reserve is owned by the Association.  There is also an “Out Tract” independently owned, which is not part of Indian Beach, located to the left of the Tennis/Pool area.

 

Property at the end of Shaman Drive, Indian Beach Drive and Mitote road is private.  Fishing patrons have been known to trespass, driving onto this property to get closer to the bay.  The Association has installed bollards along the curve of the dead end.  The fishing patrons have ignored the bollards and gone around them to obtain access.  The newly hired security will ticket these individuals.
