Indian
Beach
Sections
2 and 4 are located on the beach side of FM 3005 on
East and West DeVaca. There
are three (3) public walkovers. Since
the City of Galveston passed the Open Beaches Act, Indian
Beach is required to provide “public” access
to the beach along with “public” parking. The
City of Galveston has designated the public parking
at the beach walkover locations, along Indian Beach
Drive and Shaman on the Bay side of Indian Beach.
The
Woodlands Corporation formed the Indian Beach Property
Owners’ Association in August 1986. In
September 1996, The Woodlands Corporation deeded Reserves
A, B, D, E & F to the Association. Reserve “A” is
the pool and tennis court, Reserve “B” is
the fishing pier, Reserve D is located on Kiva, Reserve
E & F are landscape areas on Indian Beach Drive. Reserve “C” located
at the entrance on Indian Beach Drive and directly to
the west is an unrestricted reserve, sold to an individual
who has constructed a home.
The
Woodlands Corporation assigned their rights, duties
and obligations in February 1997 and hence the first
member Board of Directors was elected. The
Board of Directors consists of five (5) Directors who
each serve a three (3) year term.

POOL,
TENNIS COURT, AND FISHING PIER USE
The Indian Beach Pool, Tennis Court, and
Fishing Pier is for the exclusive use of the Property
Owners. Renters of homes are not allowed to use
these facilities. Guests of homeowners may use
the pool as long as the property owner is present. The
gate must not be left open at any time. The phone
is for 911 use only and is required by law. A
pool and fishing pier key may be obtained by calling
281-255-3055. No private parties are allowed at
the pool and no more than 25 people are allowed in the
pool unless a life guard is present. The use of
the pool is a swim at your own risk, pool rules are
posted.
